What is lava shell Massage?
Lava shells used in Lava Shell Massage are the world’s first self-heating massage tool.
The shells that are used can either be natural tiger clam shells or porcelain shells, which are made from crushed tiger clam shells.
We heat the lava shells by using a small biodegradable bag which contains various minerals.
The bag is placed inside the shells and a saline solution is added which re-acts with the minerals, as a result heats up the shells for up to one hour.
Because of the unique shape and angles of the shell they become an extension of the therapist’s hands, therefore giving a deeply therapeutic relief exactly where needed.
What should you expect
There are two treatments available.
Treatment 1 – Lava shell relax.
This is a full body treatment using the heat of the shells to ease aches and pains. Also melt away muscular tension and clear your mind from the stress built up from daily life.
The treatment starts with working over the arms, palms, shoulders and neck. The shells are worked over these areas with deep flowing movements to warm and remove stress.
Following on we then use the lava shells to work over the legs, to give a deeply relaxing massage. Subsequently stimulating the nervous system and increasing blood flow and lymphatic drainage.
Next we give a soothing massage on the back, neck and shoulder area to ease away all built up tension, knots and stress.
Treatment 2 – Lava shells warming back massage.
Our warming back massage is great for those who suffer with a lot of tension in their upper back and shoulders.
For this treatment we use a mild heat charge which is great for relaxation and perfect for those who are sensitive to heat.
During this treatment the shells are used in deep flowing motions to gently warm the muscles, which eases away any aches and pains.
Thus releasing any built-up tension and knots in the muscles and to reduce stress.
This treatment is great for those who like a gentle relaxing massage, but at the same time enjoy a massage that works deep into the muscles
